Re: The Freedom and Equality Amendment

From: Americans For Freedom And Equality

The United States Constitution was ratified in 1789. Since that time, their have only been two national constitutional amendments that have advanced the concepts of freedom and equality for all persons – the Bill of Rights and the 14thamendment (Section 1).

Although both the Bill of Rights (1791) and the 14th amendment (1868) were hard fights, their successful passage proved that if constitutional amendments are written in a language to benefit all, they will have a strong chance for victory.

The newly proposed Freedom And Equality Amendment also advances freedom and equality for all.  Its unveiling is meant to begin an open dialogue that should also be accompanied by careful research and study. In this spirit of responsible democracy, and through the legitimate belief that our U.S. Constitution’s power stems from “the people,” please take the time to comment on the Freedom and Equality amendment. Your individual input is extremely important, and all suggestions and concerns will be earnestly considered.

Sincerely,

Joshua Emmet
